What’s next, removing all those birds that spread the seeds through their toxic waste?

What I find rather interesting is a lot of people are under the opinion that humans are the most invasive species on Earth, and yet they’ll set up special organizations to remove invasive weeds, trees and the like but believe that humans should be able to go to any country they want;>)

What did they do? Inventive and scientific, they created the device on which you typed your racist complaints? With their infuriating pursuit of science and medicine, raised the lifespans and reduced the child mortality so that even the stupidest humans survived long enough to be a continuous pain in the rear? Sent men to the moon? Created a Constitutional government that was strong enough to replace the almost universal previous methods of government, kingship or oligarchy? Spread the idea of human rights even to that most abused and dismissed segment of humanity that was useless in war- women?

You’re right, the Indians would be much better off still living in teepees and not knowing what a wheel was or modern medicine.
In fact they would be as they were before Europeans showed up, all sitting in a circle, smoking a peace pipe, singing Kumbaya. With no idea what genocide and mass murder was, because they never did that to each other. They never conquered each other’s lands or murdered in discriminately entire tribes including women and children… In fact America is the only continent on Earth that’s ever been conquered by an invading culture;<)

I suspect that Australian qualifies and the Mongols certainly conquered more area. It’s just that Asia and Europe are not physically separated by water. Rome was no slouch either.

Unless your talking about introduction of cats and non-native grasses, it sounds like you’re probably a racist.

Why not just use backpack sprayers of Roundup Pro mixed at brush strength and save on all that labor?
Kinda shows poor management with constant asking for volunteers to hand pull weeds all the time when they could just be sprayed and forgot about.

Because it is not a good method for all areas. Where target plants grow in close proximity to natives, application would be difficult.

Spot spraying individual plants that are targets and leaving non target plants unharmed goes on everywhere but Arcata it seems.

Those hippies will handpull and the target pests will return.

5 squares were sprayed on Wooley Island 8 years ago. take a look on Google earth, they are still there. roundup is currently being linked to mental illness.

Invasive is an evasive term.
The public has a right to know the pro’s and con’s of each plant evasively identified as invasive.
