I copied and pasted what I found to be a double standard they claim to with hold the name but printed the passenger any way
The surviving van passenger’s name was given. The name of the deceased passenger was not.
Headline is wrong, Kym:
The passenger is 77 years old. She survived. The other passenger who died is not given an age. I think that’s what they meant. LOCO has a photo image of chp sheet.
Yes. I think a simple mistake unless the deceased turns out to be a 77 year old woman too. Nothing deliberate or disrespectful.
Ugh, I hate being an idiot. Fixed now.
The Facebook headline is wrong
Facebook doesn’t allow me to change a link headline.
How rude someone’s family passed and you all are arguing over this
Not going to make him/her any more dead by helping fix a typo for clarity.
My condolences to both the family of the deceased and to Mr. McConnell and Ms. Van Pelt. It seems so arbitrary to be injured out of the blue when doing nothing out of the ordinary. I hope you both recover soon.
Old Women Dead Totally disrespectful. This is our aunt your talking about. Fatal crash could of been more decent.
I’m sorry that seems disrespectful but I try to write the way people talk to each other. I don’t like to write in a stilted legalistic way and the people I know usually say dead not deceased. In no way though was my word choice intended to show disrespect.
