These Photos are Otterly Delightful
Photographer Ann Constantino posted these otter photos on her Facebook page a few days ago.
Here’s a fun fact about otters from otter-world.com: “Otters eat from 15% to 25% of their body weight each day. They can spend up to five hours each day finding the food that they need in order to survive..”

Great pics, thank you for sharing.
We are fortunate to have such wonderful wildlife locally. Great photos!
I love otters! They are adorable happy curious creatures! We had one follow us down the river while we walked down the trail in the Humboldt wildlife bay. It was So so cute. It was obviously very curious. Also saw a family, the little ones are adorable!
On a whale watching trip, in Monterey bay, I learned how valuable Sea Otters are to the eco systems. They eat urchins that kill the kelp forests. I have seen beaches entirely taken by Urchins.. not good. Go Otters!
Great pics!
When I swim at dusk I often wonder if a few of these rabble-rousers might pop up next to me and make me faint..
They are always fun to watch from the shore.
That last pic . Looks like the otter is sayin . Looooooks a wee bit like Talia kids, but dont be so shore.
Awesome and great examples why its so so paramount to protect the water quality of rivers, i.e. South Fork Eel!!!
It’s good to see the local cridders making a comeback. Had a family of mink? Come through the swimming hole this summer :<)
Awwww. Thank you Ann. Nice photos!
Great to see Ann’s work here since Facebook is no longer a safe hangout.
