Trinity River Area CHP Hosting Senior Driver Education Class at Trinity County Fairgrounds October 5th
This is a press release from the Trinity River Area California Highway Patrol:
The Trinity River Area CHP Office Senior Volunteers will be hosting a Senior Driver Education Class at the Trinity County Fairgrounds in Hayfork on October 5th, 2018 at 10:00 AM in the dining hall. We will talk about how to keep older drivers driving for as long and safe as possible. This free program is designed to help Senior Drivers tune up their driving skills, refresh their knowledge of the rules of the road, learn about normal age-related physical changes and how to adjust to these changes. The goal is to help Senior Drivers become better, safer, and more alert drivers. Each participant will be given a certificate at the end that may entitle them to a reduced insurance rate. Please call the Trinity River CHP office for details and to sign up (530) 623-3832.

Much needed!
If seniors from other than Hayfork can drive over the mountain to the Hayfork fairgrounds I would say they don’t need any further education; that is quite the road.
I did receive a discount on insurance from AAA after completing an online driver course a few years ago. It would be worth it to attend if this applies here.
It seams like they are educating the wrong end of the age scale. Drivers ED has been cut out completely from schools
