24-Hour Traffic Control Operations on Highway 36 Curve Realignment Project Starting Tomorrow

This is a press release from Caltrans District 2: This project is 4 miles west of Red Bluff.

Caltrans District CTCaltrans and Tullis Inc are working on a road realignment project including shoulder widening and upgrades to the drainage system. The project began the week of September 10, 2018 and it is scheduled to be completed by mid-November.

Beginning on Monday, September 17th and for approximately three weeks, there will be 24-hour traffic control operations in place with a pilot car due to the contractor pulverizing the existing road to finish the construction of a new roadway. During that period, motorists will be driving on an unpaved surface. The project is half-mile long.

We thank the traveling public in advance for their cooperation. Please remember to slow down during the construction zone and respect the cones. For questions or concerns please call Caltrans District 2 Public Information Office at (530) 225-3426 during business hours.
