There is a fire out by Hyampom too. They hit it hard right before sunset with several aircraft including a jet out of Redding so it is bigger than a breadbox.

Is the community of Hyampom threatened? (Nice seeing a Steve Allen analogy, though there are probably several readers saying “huh?”)

I actually own a breadbox! I got it from my father when he downsized… Made sure my kids knew what it was. Nowadays it’s “Bigger than a toaster oven”, or “Bigger than a microwave”.
The breadbox is exceedingly useful in storing avocados – which seem to attract rodents even faster that cheese and crackers.
So that makes three fires. Two close enough to get friendly with each other and one that could close 101 if they can’t control it.

The Shimmins Ridge Road fire was an ARSON FIRE.. Witness saw a single male driver in a Rust/Reddish/Burgundy 4-door SUV throw a lit gas can out of his vehicle!!!! Witness and a neighbor reported fire and stayed trying to put out the fire until Cal-Fire arrived….
