It’s going to be a long 3 Day weekend everyone please be careful out there
It was a long ride home. I hope everyone is ok. Kind of a weird place for a head on.
Am curious, Kym.
You’ve posted a number of pictures from that same vantage point, with different articles this summer. Is there a traffic or summit road hazard camera there that you get the pics from? If so, are they available to the public? …..Site?
Have long wondered if traffic cameras around the state are accessible to the public.
Cal Trans District 1 cameras: http://www.dot.ca.gov/dist1/d1tmc/
Thanks Sue! That’s interesting…..
If you see red font, that’s a link and you can click it. Captions usually tell where I got a photo and often link to that place.
Also, you can go to Caltrans QuickMap on the upper left click the options button and select cameras. Then the map will show all the traffic cams in the entire state. http://quickmap.dot.ca.gov/
Thanks Kym! Hadn’t thought to put my curser over the red text.
I remember searching, years ago, for highway cameras and couldn’t find them. Either they have been put on line since then, or I didn’t know how to find them.
Now gotta see if they have an app for that. Could be helpful when navigating cities and long distance travels. 🙂
It looks like the road is wet…
Is this fog condensation?
We were there after it happened and the road was completely dry. That is just the lighting effect on the road .
