CHP Needs Help Figuring Out Owner/Driver of Vehicle Possibly Involved in Fatal Hit-and-Run

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif.– In the early morning hours of August 1, 2018, a deceased male was located in the roadway on northbound US-101, south of Humboldt Hill Rd.During the course of the investigation, the California Highway Patrol has identified a vehicle which was possibly involved in a collision with the deceased male.The CHP is asking for the public’s help in locating anyone with information on the driver and registered owner of the vehicle.The vehicle in question is a red 1986 Chevrolet Blazer, California license plate 1SBA584.Anyone with information is asked to call the Arcata California Highway Patrol office at 707-822-5981 or the CHP Communications Center at 707-268-2000.Arcata CHP may also be reached at CHP_Humboldt_Area@chp.ca.gov.
