Smoke Will Make Areas of Humboldt and Trinity Counties Unhealthy Today
Press release from the North Coast Unified Air Quality Management District (NCUAQMD) and partners:
Continued fire activity from the Carr, Mendocino Complex, and Oregon fires continue to send smoke into the area. Weak inversions in the valleys and drainages will keep smoke levels elevated. Light southerly winds over the next couple of days will bring limited relief.
This forecast is expected to remain in effect until August 15, 2018. Updates will be provided as conditions change. For 24-hour Air Quality Advisory Information, call toll-free at 1-866-BURN-DAY (1-866-287-6329).
