A house is burning on West Clark Street in Eureka. The report came in about 2:20 p.m.

Flames are coming from the back of the home. Firefighters are on scene as of 2:30 p.m.

UPDATE 2:40 p.m.: Firefighters have located a cat and a dog who are both alive, according to the scanner. Animal Control officer has been requested to come care for the two pets.

UPDATE 3 p.m.: Our reporter tells us there are cats and dogs being rescued from the home. He is unsure of how many.

UPDATE 3:40 p.m.: Reports from neighbors indicate there were nine dogs and they are all accounted for except one that ran into the bushes across the street. At least two cats were also rescued.
