That is my fear and why I avoid going on Broadway if I can. More than a few times I have had a pedestrian or bicyclist suddenly cross in the middle of the road without warning. One who ran in front of my car in the middle of the block, causing me to slam on my brakes to avoid hitting him, was angry and slammed his fist on the car.

Of course, many are not like that but it’s just become too risky.

Bushytails, lol. I had to laugh..honestly people just pop from the left and right defiantly. Broadway, as one enters Eureka, belongs to the hustlers…I lowride through there so slow because there is so much hustlin hustlin, everyday hustlin. Broadway belongs to them. I have to laugh to bust up the sorrow because it is so serious along there….hit and runs….lost someone that way. There are times when I wonder if people dont jump out purposely to die. It breaks my heart.

A friend of mine who lives in Eureka (born and raised there as well) is convinced that some of the street people do purposely jump in front of your car so that they can sue you…I guess that it would be a good idea to choose a street with a low speed limit though.

i know when i take out a raccoon or a possum, it leaves me with a dark feeling. i hope if mr. perez is as big of a wuss as me, he gets counseling that helps him heal from this, because it sounds like he did everything in his power to avoid it.

Right? I would hate to ever hit or injure someone let alone kill them, all by an accident that you tried so hard to avoid. Major issues to be dealt with here.
I am hoping for much healing for both families of this super tragic accident.
