SoHum Chamber’s Featured Business of the Week: Roberto’s Humboldt T’s
Every week the Southern Humboldt Chamber of Commerce features a business of the week. We’ll be sharing their posts here to celebrate our community.
Roberto’s Humboldt T’s first opened its doors back in 1989 and was formally named “Roberto’s Baseball Cards and memorabilia”! Selling popular cards and team brand clothing apparel, this shop operated successfully for about 15 years in the small town of Garberville.
In 2005 Roberto and Cathy Newman decided to make some changes to their inventory. They phased out the baseball cards, changed their business name and brought in t-shirts and casual clothing apparel.
What sets this cozy little shop apart from the rest is that everything is locally made and hand crafted by creative and talented artists within our area! Whether you purchase a sticker made by Gary Harrison, a hand crafted card made by Mykol Blackwell, or try on a shirt from Mattole River Studios, Humboldt Hotties, Lane Murrish, Robert Sheldon or Butch Cornelius (just to name a few), it doesn’t get much more local than this!
Looking for children’s shirts or a onesie for your little tyke? Roberto’s Humboldt T’s has something for everyone! Roberto’s works hard at providing a variety of clothing for men, women and children of all ages.
When selecting inventory for their shop Cathy states, “Not only do we try to have something for the whole family here, but we also try keep things reasonably priced”!
Cathy and Roberto Newman love Southern Humboldt and enjoy talking with the locals as well as tourists from out of the area. Smiling, Cathy states, “I love our small community one street town”.
This cute little shop is located at: 778 Redwood Dr. in Garberville CA.
