Two in the same neighborhood on the same day. Un related, but scary.
Bolt bag and Evac kit in process…
Omg my friends live right there. Please let them be okay! Please let anyone involved be okay! Please an update when you can Kym!!!
CalFire dipping in Dobbyn’s Crk.
No doubt!
There are some really good write ups online from folks who have been through severe natural disasters like Sandy.
The thing they all mention is that once power was out, cel phones died and no one knew what time it was.
Pack some watches or battery alarm clocks&have them set to right time.
Excellent suggestion.
Don’t forget Meds, prescription copies, spare glasses (contacts), and your phone chargers for when you do get to a place with power!
Spare shoes.
When I Bolt, my computer comes with me. May be useless without power, but my life in on it.
I hope they get this one out in a hurry.
And I hope the folks involved in the accident are minimally damaged, recover quickly.
Get a Google Drive account and save everything on your computer there. It’s cheap and secure, and you can access it from any device connected to the internet.
And so can anyone else with moderate hacking or illegal scanning abilities ….
Exactly why I haven’t done that!
solar chargers or ones that can work in your auto to recharge … you can get crank model w/solar recharge (and handy flashlight on back end) little dandy radios to put in your kit …
if leaving with pets, don’t forget their bug out bags and water too …
pack everything ahead and keep in hall closet (free of junk!) ; some like the trunk or in cab but not in my neighborhood!
got elderly? don’t forget their rx! and copies of meds w/pharmacy number. If you use CVS (and probably any other chain) you can usually call in rx and pick up at destination.
Clearly, it was time to get a watch.
Fire is up Stewart Ranch Road. Calfire, Rescue, CHP are there. Looked like 3 males being treated for injuries.
Someone texted me the fire is under control. I would like that info verified so I can breath easy.
Update at 4:40 pm says, “The CHP Traffic Incident Information Page reports that the vehicle involved is “completely burned///Fire mostly contained.”
The fire is out.
