You see if California had background checks with waiting periods this would never happen.
California does have background checks and waiting period.
Pretty stupid that a guy can’t sit on his own porch with a shotgun.
“Making criminal threats” and ” brandishing a firearm” will do it though.
And a felon for a kicker.
Maybe he has shitty neighbors.
It sure is stupid and I bet the crime he did to get that felony was non violent. The law is antiquated and ignorant once your in the system they never fully let go.
I used to think 71 was old.
Now that I am 71, it doesn’t seem to be the case for me, but this guy looks it😂🤣😃
Okay, go ahead post your pic. Let us be the judge.
get him a tooth brush
You’d think that by the time he reached 70 he’d be “old enough to know better”.
I guess not.
Really, that was the first thing I thought.
“He should be old enough to know better!”
I am.
But I don’t drink and I haven’t been busted or convicted of any felonies, so maybe knowing better is a matter of habit rather than age.
It’s more like 71 is old enough to not give a damn..
Thank you, Ice!
That was a good laugh!
Doesn’t give a good hot goddamn, ain’t got long before the parking meter runs out, anyway!
So he drinks and shouts and threatens his neighbors.
You think it’s fun to be threatened by a juicehead with a gun? Now he can spend his remaining year(s) in jail or on probation. Nice job. At least his neighbors may have some peace. Oh, yeah, honey, it’s just the local, senile alkie waving his loaded gun at us. No problem.
BTW, scenes like this DO NOT help the rest of us to retain our gun rights and ownership.
Find a better neighborhood, that place has always been full of fishy stuff going on.
King Slamm’n💉
King salmon is a beautiful neighborhood 🙊
You don’t think “under the influence” might have something to do with it?
Glad that nobody got shot. Drunk guys, guns, LEOs, and mad neighbors don’t always make for a great ending.
I can’t figure out why people familiar with jail would want to return…
Never had the pleasure, but it really must be great!
For most criminals it’s more like a holiday than being in jail. Three hot meals a day, color TV, board games, books, telephone Bank, shower, shiter, exercise room, free medical care, free reassignment surgery. Some people even choose to try to get an education, any drug you can possibly want. Heck if you’re a good boy or girl or whatever you decide you are that day, you can even sign up to go work swap. For a lot of people especially the local Tweakers and say, underprivileged youth that have grown up in poverty, jail is actually better than their home life.
A sad commentary when being locked up is better than freedom. It says much about our society.
Wow.
Sounds great.
Funny how the anti-pot trolls are silent when alcohol is involved. How ’bout a “let’s get all the drunks out of Humboldt” post? Anyone?
Cleaning out the drunks would involve removing about 60% of the population of Eureka, Fortuna, points Northward, Hoopa, Willow Creek, and Trinity, Mendo, and Lake County, which is the home of the REAL industrial strength drunks…
Meth and smack are bad, but Alcohol is still the king of the drug thing… Pot is like drinking tea, by comparison… Alcohol is totally legal, buy all you want and enjoy! Talk about corporate and managed drug addiction for everyone!
It’s out national identity and our sacred right.
How’s that?
Usually you don’t find the public posting comments about “medicial” alcohol or about the virtue of being a moonshiner or that alcohol is a product of nature and therefore harmless. Drunks accept that alcohol is an intoxicant even if they may think they personally are not so drunk.
On the other hand pot users either disingenuously or delusionally pretend they are not impaired by pot use. They think because they are not staggering around unable to balance themselves they are perfectly fine.
The fact that they refuse to admit the nature of their own pot use means that it has to be repeatedly pointed out to them. Not that it seems to get through to them as this comment shows. A drunk may see their own poor behavior once sober. Pot apparently lasts long enough that its users may never be sober enough to see they have been impaired as a contrast. A drunk sobers up within a day. Frequently with physical misery that makes them quite aware they were drunk. A chronic pot user has to be off pot for more than a month to gain that level of self awareness. Then they only have a vague awareness that “things seem clearer now.”
“Clean and sober” means life without intoxicants. Nobody understands “permitted drugs” better than a recovering alcoholic, who will attend an AA meeting and drink coffee and smoke cigarettes to an extreme level…
Once getting totally clean, which takes time, and is pretty unpleasant when you are used to doing, well, whatever drug you like, you find out two or three things:
1) Everything is pretty beautiful
2) Life goes on and on, and your new job is to not get high, and for the rest of your life.
3) Life is easier when you don’t have to score your drug of choice, maintain a supply, smoke up, shoot up, swallow pills, get some beer etc…
4) There are people like you everywhere, struggling to maintain, and who need support. You don’t have to be sober alone!
Probably, the jail thing is similar, when you think about it…
