Where the Klamath Meets the Pacific
Mark Harris, a pilot/attorney who sends us aerial photos from time to time, took this picture while flying over the entrance of the Klamath River into the Pacific Ocean the other day.

That is an incredible photo. I have never seen a photo of the mouth from the sky. The Klamath is the third longest river in the state after the Sacramento and San Joaquin.
Sunrise over the estuary from the beach.
Sunset from the beach.
Stupendous. I llke that we can blow the pics up.
Mark and Dan beautiful pictures. I hope I never go blind.
Freaking gorgeous ALL of them!!!! 8~D
Stunning photos from Dan, too. The mouth of the Klamath is one of Del Norte County’s special places.
I worked with a guy from Wisconsin who was stationed in the USAF at Klamath Air Force Station (just north of the river mouth) in the ’60s. He never recovered; had to go back 2-3 times a year for 50 years.
I was stationed there in the 70’s.
Amazing! Thank you!
I love the pics, and Zu, I love that story!
