Here’s Mercer Fraser’s Plan for Highway 36 Realignment During Fourth of July Week

This is a press release from Mercer Fraser:

Just wanted to let everyone know about the working hours during the week of Fourth of July. Our plan is to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday during the week of the Fourth of July. The hours will be Monday 8am-8pm, Tuesday 6am-12pm, Thursday 6am-8pm and Friday 6am-3pm during this week. Times before 8am or after 5pm will be flagging with 30-min delays. The road will be open from Tuesday 12pm thru Thursday morning 6am to accommodate the traveling public for the holiday. Hope this helps the travelers get to their destinations for the holiday week.HWY 36 Flyer

So, if you want to drive through there at high speed with no clothes, and you don’t want to end up hog-tied in a loader bucket, these are the hours you need to do it during.

The Federal Highways Administration has what to do with a State highway?

Unconstitutional Federal enlargement in state territory.

The Federal Highways Administration likely provided a share of the project funding. When they pay for a portion of the cost of a project they have a duty and obligation to assure that the conditions of their funding grants are met and that the money is not diverted to any other purpose.
