someone has a grow dozer in the area im sure! pull that sum a bi#$@ out the way
I don’t think anything short of a Real Dozer is going to move that Redwood tree, it’ll have to be cut up first before much of anything will move it!!! Good idea but the tree is way too big!!!
That’s a fir.
I’m pretty sure the crew knows how to get trees out of the roadway. They do it all the time.
Tom Heaton lead the way in his truck!!! then at least one Westbound vehicle came through after Tom came though it undamaged!!! I was next, all of us went under the left side where there is just enough room under the tree to squeeze through!!! I hope that Cal Trans worker, cutting up the tree is immune to Poison Oak!!! All that “lovely green foliage” you see on the tree is Poison Oak!!!
Not too many folks went under the left side. And the fellow who went around on the river rocks and came up the bank on the other side rather dinged up his truck!
Thanks, Kym, for the post. It let the folks at home know why I was soooooo late while out of cell range.
Tom is 1 cool Ruth Lake Dude. He has many saws he once bought out a chainsaw shop I have no doubt he got through!!!
Sadly, he didn’t have any of those saws with him today!!!
OOO I wish I was there at that time, I always carry my big McCulloch 1000 with me, a 36″ Bar running 404 chain I would of had the job in 5 min.
Free kindling for a lifetime but sadly Cal Trans got there first!!!
God bless you sir
Glad it did not fall on a vehicle going through there. At least it will slow down the nutty speeders for a few minutes.
It looks like there might be a bit of a pull out on the downhill side. Cut it into 16″ lengths please.
