BHO labThis is a press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

On June 21, 2018, at about 6:45 p.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies investigating a child welfare complaint responded to a residence on the 1400 block of Splinter Lane in Bayside. When deputies arrived, they observed a Hispanic male adult in front of the residence’s open garage door. The man fled into a nearby wooded area upon seeing the deputies.

While at the residence, deputies observed an active butane hash oil (BHO) extraction lab inside the open garage. The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit responded to conduct a search of the garage. During the search, deputies located one firearm, over 600 pounds of marijuana trim, over 200 pounds of marijuana bud, 69 pounds of butane hash oil and BHO extraction equipment.

This case is still under investigation. Anyone with information for the Sheriff’s Office regarding this case or related criminal activity is encouraged to call the Sheriff’s Office at (707) 445-7251 or the Sheriff’s Office Crime Tip line at (707) 268-2539.BHO lab BHO lab

Good chance there never was a child welfare complaint, or even a child. Great justification for an illegal search after getting a tip from a snitch.

Seriously, “Seriously”, google ‘welfare check’ and ‘4th amendment’. That lie is used everyday to get around NOT being able to obtain a legal warrant after getting a tip that won’t satisfy a judge.

Would it make sense to put all available effort into finding that Hispanic dude who ran? After-all he may have information concerning the child in distress. No cash found at the property? Sound more like a robbery than a bust.

Who cares? Reports of abuse and danger to children must be investigated- even behind locked gates. I’m glad somebody made the call and I’m glad they got busted! Maybe it will inspire more people to make similar calls and shut down their neighbors’ butane labs and disgustingly destructive grow scenes, permitted or not.

What if there was no child? There was no mention of the child or children and the condition they were found in. Is the kid ok? Is the kid hurt? Is the kid dead? Or was there even a child there?
