This is a press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

StarkeyOn June 14, 2018, deputies with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) served two search warrants to investigate the illegal cultivation of marijuana in the area of County Line Creek Road near Dinsmore. The following agencies assisted the DEU: wardens and environmental scientists with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, specialists from the Humboldt County Environmental Health and HAZMAT Unit and inspectors from the Humboldt County Planning and Building Department.

Two parcels were investigated during the service of the search warrants. Neither parcels possessed or were in the process of obtaining a commercial cannabis permit with the County of Humboldt.  six water diversion violations (up to $8,000 per day fine)
 five stream pollution violations (up to $20,000 per day fine)
 two discharge of motor oil into soil violations (up to $25,000 per day fine)

 multiple grading without a permit violations (up to $10,000 per day fine)
 multiple building code violations (up to $10,000 per day fine)

Its purslane! Not a weed. Ots a superfood and rich in nitrogen and omegas while helping soil to retain moisture and putting back nutrients. It grows symbiotic with weed.

I have seen 50 crazy guys like this out in Mad River. (Almost every guy ) Not to say they are crazy but just hillbilly caught wind O’ Profit. I was just wondering when the Big Gov fines all the non grows out of existence and takes all the land, the land is not worth much of anything anyway if it can’t be used to produce crop if it will be turned back into BLM regulated by our gov not to tresspass by motor vehilce or be walked upon without a special permit; so that the populations would be controlled in city centers regulated by the Big Gov and at one point checkpoints would give no rights to leave the centers.

I think the owner(s) of the parcels are responsible to pay the fines.

Also, I’m not sure but I think each instance of a violation is fined separately. For example, six water diversion violations at 8K each would result in 48K/day in fines. If so, the fines would be as much as, or more than, 328K/day! (Depending on number of grading & building violations and if the “up to” amounts are maxed.)

Obviously, these fines are unlikely to ever be paid.

I wonder what happens if someone simply refuses to leave their land when the county tries to take it away for unpaid fines. Anyone have an idea? Sheriff in bearcat?

I suppose it depends on the aggressiveness of the county. Certainly there will be a lien filed by the county.

It never ceases to amaze me that these dummies can’t spend one dime of the money they make hauling their trash to the dump. These are not farmers, just resource extractors

If you operate a buissness of any kind that generats hazardous waste. You must have a hazmat plan on site and all the proper channels in place to dispose of material.the hazmat building at the dump only takes a small amount of hazardous waste from buissness once per month it’s there for the purpose of helping residents .it is the buissness that is responsible for the waste it generates.

This message is to ALL the people and their rude comments. I have known Eddie for 38 yrs. He just wants to be left alone and most people leave him alone because he figured out many yrs. ago if you looks scary people will leave you alone. If Eddie has a sack of potatoes, bag of flower, corn meal, Wesson oil, dried meats, salt and pepper. Eddie will disappear for 4 to 5 months. Eddie was in Mad River bar twice that I know of. The DEA was out to get Eddie do to a prior arrest were someone came onto his property and the was an altercation. Deputies were called and Eddie hid in the bushes and when the Deputies could not locate Eddie they started about different ways to set Eddie up so that Eddie would go to prison for a long time. Eddie told me that he just wanted to shoot them, but that would be wrong. Also Eddie is lazy and I believe Eddie is the fall guy in these operations. So PLEASE don’t judge a book by its cover.
