[UPDATE 10:50 p.m.] First Results Are Coming in

vote FeatureAre you the type of voter that huddles with friends around the computer or tv waiting for the first results to trickle in?

Well, Humboldt County released the first results so far. For newbies to the political scene, remember this isn’t the final result. Just because your favorite candidate is ahead now doesn’t mean they will be later. Also, these are Humboldt County results not California results as a whole–just because your candidate for governor is losing here in Humboldt doesn’t mean you need to despair…s/he might be winning in the rest of the state.

Politico has some cool infographics that show the results by county so far for the Governor, Senate and all the House races for California: click here and scroll down.

Or here’s another site that has all the candidates and the propositions statewide.

UPDATE 10:48 p.m.: Second round of results are now in. Click here for more information.

UPDATE 10:50 p.m.: Here’s the second round of the results for the local measures:

Just fyi guess…
This is the primary election for governor meaning the top two vote recipients will run against each other until one is voted into office in November.

Heres my “guess” is youre either an actual bot that uses the same language in every comment section with a different democratic candidate name automatically inserted, or youre an actual person at a russian style facility where people are paid to put such comments into every news article regarding elections. My guess is you are outside of the US; you probably meant “guest” as your handle and your lack of understanding about how CA gubernatorial elections work is pretty sad.

Newsome would be the official death to California.

Oregon better lock its borders because shit will start flowing up hill.

God help us all.

It is interesting to see how each county in District 2 voted for the US House seat: https://elections.ap.org/kcratv/election_results/2018-06-05/state/CA/race/X/raceid/6018

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage.”

Nicely done.

In Modoc County, they voted overwhelmingly to sell their country hospital to pirates, Trumpists with great Lawyers…

In Southern Humboldt, the hospital pirates sail on towards the next prize!

Arrrrrrrr! Garrrrrrrrrrrrrberville!!

Show up in the ER and buy a CAT scan, only $25,000.00.

If they can find someone to operate it!

If people voted instead of just rolling a doobie and forgetting about it, we might have better roads, hospitals, mental health services, cops and jails…

If you like the way things just are, they are unlikely to change.

If you don’t like the government, start a revolution!

Been trying that since the 60s- some things changed, but military/industrial just mows everything down. Clinton was supposed to bring in the new, but got busy with his cigar instead…
