Trinidad Civic Club Hosting Afternoon Tea, Fashion Show Fundraiser Today

This is a press release from the Trinidad Civic Club:

On Sunday, May 20, the Trinidad Civic Club will be hosting an afternoon tea and fashion show fundraiser.

Founded in 1913, the Trinidad Civic Club is a non-profit community service organization devoted to civic improvement, child welfare, education, and the stewardship of the Memorial Lighthouse.  In December the Memorial Lighthouse was moved to a location at the Trinidad harbor due to coastal erosion.  The Cher-ae Heights Indian Community of the Trinidad Rancheria graciously welcomed this historical landmark onto their property.  Now funds must be raised to create a new permanent memorial site, which will include the memorial plaques and the historic bell, so that the Memorial Lighthouse will once again stand as a united monument where those lost and buried at sea are honored.

Funds raised also host a variety of other important community projects and services, such as annual college and vocational scholarships, Students of the Month, Trinidad Food Bank, CASA, Blood Bank, fundraising and support for other civic organizations such as the Trinidad Library, Museum, Coastal Land Trust, and Town Hall improvements.  For more information on our accomplishments through the decades, please consult our trinidadcivicclub.org website.

It is community supporters like you who make our volunteer efforts successful!  If you have any questions, please contact us at: [email protected].

Warm Wishes,

Trinidad Civic Club Leadership
