Redwood Community Radio will celebrate KMUD’s 31st birthday at the station’s headquarters, 1144 Redway Drive in Redway on Saturday, May 26. The party and music starts at noon. As in previous years, this will be a day of music and fun, excellent food and drink. Volunteers have been busy sorting thousands of CDs and vinyl records for the great music sale. There will be a Kids Zone with face painting, trash art (with Lolo Trash), hula hoop lessons, chalk drawing, and more.

Just like the great variety of music you hear on KMUD, artists will perform many styles on stage. Ari and Ruby will be opening; the lineup continues with Savannah Rose; original music by Beth Bell; Thornbirds; rowdy Bluegrass with Back to the Hill; Sleepwalker; Rebecca Wudarski; Transam Mullet; and the headliner, folk and reggae band That Captain. You’ll find the schedule on kmud.org. Listen to your radio for the live broadcast of the event.

The party organizers want to get the word out that Redway Drive will be closed between Empire Lane and Dazey’s driveway between 10 am and 11 pm.

Vendors of arts and crafts, plants, and other interesting items will set up booths on both sides of the road.

This party is free to attend, of course donations are gladly accepted. KMUD is a non-profit organization, and proceeds from this event will be used for the operation of our listener-sponsored community radio station.

How about KMUD do itself and it’s listeners a favor & get itself some new radio show hosts for it’s 31st birthday? 🎁. After a radio show host has been on the air that long, it really is time to go, otherwise you end up as boring as Rush Limbaugh, pill-popping drug-addict that he is. 💊🐘

P.S. – By the way, TransAm Mullet is an awesome band name! 👍🏿🎸

This is always a FUN event! It’s one of the only music events in So Hum that has FREE entrance.
GO! Spend your money on CDs, food, drinks, and in other ways to make this event a success for KMUD (especially now, in their time of need).
