Happy Hupa? Lol if you didn’t notice this dude is white. As far as your other comments… hilarious. Free guns really? War? Idk what white folks do with that many guns… maybe you can enlighten me. Oh and I’m glad this kind of trash was cleaned up from the rez. Outsiders coming in and destroying lives is never a noble gesture.

Right, the insiders do a good enough job on their own…..

Looks like there’s a pump shotgun and several older hunting rifles, meaning not much of a “war” threat.
Also, careful with the “keep the outsiders from coming in” comments. A lot of that going around in this country.

If you have that much hard dope in your house in HOOPA you had better be armed to the teeth. The cops probably saved his life.

Elvis constanza I dont know what you think you know about Hoopa, but that’s not how it is. He is the drug dealer and all those guns were probably hawked to him for drugs. Most of us in the valley are honest, drug free, and hardworkin people just like anywhere else, you want to talk shit how about looking at Mckinleyville or Eureka there are way more drugs and addicts there than there are in Hoopa. People like you is what’s wrong with the world today.

So critical comments about a geographic area are what’s wrong with the world? We are all stereotypes in one way or another, and generalizations are generally true.. if there are exceptions to the rule, does it negate the usefulness of a rule?
There are more crooks in eureka because eureka has almost 30,000 people as opposed to Hoopa’s population, which is much smaller. Adjusted out for population difference, the crime and drug statistics are probably similar. And further more, Eureka pulls degenerates from all parts of the county and state who congregate there for the social services and the vibrant houseless community. Not many outsiders stay in the hoopa valley unless they have contacts.
Another commenter said that the man was white, and he probably is of European descent, but one thing I learned from living in Indian country is that you don’t formulate another persons anscestry from their appearance. Many people I naively thought were where “white” were actually native in all or in part.
So no need to be P.C. , but at least attempt some level of cultural awareness regarding the broad range of “racial” or cultural influences in even one extended family, let alone entire categories like “whites/European Americans” or “native/indigenous”.
until our economic system provides a way for people to prosper without black market behavior, activities like drug dealing are inevitable and will be exploited by both rich and poor as they persue what is valued and necessary to have in our world. Money money money

You obviously dont know much about hoopa, 30 to 40 percent of our population is outsiders. And no shot eureka had more people wow that’s an astounding observation. I’m just sick of people always generalizing Hoopa as a bunch of drug addicts and thieves. Yes we have our share of bad apples, everywhere does. But mostly the people here are good honest people. And yes some generalizations are true and some are based on judgmental or racial bias, that’s why I was talking about. People being racist as hell towards us because of one bad interaction with a native or rumors based on someone’s bullshit perception or bias. And I’d like to point out that we were fine, had a very successful and peaceful society for thousands of years until the invaders came. And since then, since our way of life was almost destroyed, we’ve had to adapt to the “white man’s way if life” its life having to start completely over. You know a lot of people look at Natives and have a lot of harsh and unpleasant thoughts or views but until you’ve had your way of life destroyed, your people murdered by the tens of millions, and forced off your land into areas unknown to you, your language decimated, your culture utterly destroyed, you have no idea what its like for a Native to make their way in the world. A world that was our since the beginning of time and now has been damaged beyond repair, by the very people that came to start their new life and said the help with the natives they’re “savages” and forced their religion on us and forces to integrate into a society we never signed up for or wanted a piece of. Some people see natives andv think a lot of horribly racist and mostly untrue stereotypes, I see survivors of the biggest genocide in the history. People see people from Hoopa and see drug addicts or thieves, I see the ancestors of one of the few tribes that were able to fight off the US army and retain a good portion of our ancestral lands, our language, and our religious practices, one of the 1st sovereign Indian nations in this country. Think twice before you judge someone or somewhere if you don’t fully know, understand, or appreciate their history and the struggles they’ve had to endure. Just good for thought.

I use to keep that much just to support my personal habit before I cleaned up. Small timer if they were selling. Fish for big fish, throw back small ones.

He is a well known dealer in the valley. This isn’t his first rodeo. He has been busted before for drugs and gun charges. I wish they would have found his entire stash.

Glad to see McCready busted finally
