Brio, Arcata Chamber of Commerce Holding Ribbon Cutting for Cafe Expansion May 4

This is a press release from the Arcata Chamber of Commerce:

Brio Baking is growing!

Cafe Brio has built an expanded dining room and landscaped the outdoor patio space. Come celebrate 11 years of growth and view the new dining room from 4:30-6:30pm on May 4th, 2018.

May 4, 2018 – Arcata, Calif. – Join Brio and the Arcata Chamber of Commerce for a Ribbon Cutting at 5:30pm, May 4th. Happy Hour pricing on wine and beer from 4:30-6:00pm. Live Music provided by Tim Randles’ RLA trio. Don’t miss the opportunity to try a fun, one-night-only tapas menu by Chef Colin Flanery.

Brio has been nourishing and connecting the community for almost 20 years. Owner, Serge Scherbatskoy, started selling loaves of bread to the Co-Op and Wildberries in 1998 and opened the café on the plaza in 2007. When looking to fund growth, instead of borrowing money from the bank or seeking venture capital, Brio turned to the local community. Supported by regular café customers and bread lovers across California, the company raised over $600,000 to help refinance and fund this expansion.

The new dining room will provide 20 more seats and the patio set up includes new outdoor furniture and landscaping. “It’s going to be a beautiful room,” says Scherbatskoy.

Join the Arcata community for a ribbon cutting and celebration at Cafe Brio May 4th from 4:30-6:00 p.m. Cafe Brio is located at 791 G Street, Arcata, CA.
