Increasing Water Releases From Lewiston Dam Could Make Swimming Unsafe, Says Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department

On May 1st, 2018 there will be an increase in the amount of water released from the Lewiston Dam, which will quickly effect the water levels of the Trinity River. The Sheriff’s Office is concerned that the increase in water levels on the Trinity River will make for unsafe swimming conditions. The increase in water flows is scheduled to continue through May 7th, 2018. Please use extra caution if you choose to be near the Trinity River during this time.
