The Spamley Cup is This Sunday

This is a press release from the Humboldt CASA:

Spamley Cup Cook-off

Sunday, April 29th • 1:00-4:00 pm

Redwood Fields • 2508 Fern Street in Cutten

15 teams will compete to make their best dish incorporating the famous canned meat SPAM at the 9th annual cook-off!  Chef teams include Surfside Burger Shack, Oberon Grill, Mazzotti’s, Humboldt Bay Provisions, Six Rivers Brewery, and more.  Sample their creations and vote for the People’s Choice Winner!

There will be a raffle for great prizes, silent auction, live music by The Boardagain and Plum Uglies, clowns, jugglers, and more!  Wine, beer, cider, and It’s Alive Kombucha on tap, and ice cream for the kids.  This year will also feature a “Veggie Booth” for those who would rather not eat Spam.

Admission is $10 and includes tasting tickets. Additional tasting tickets can be purchased for $1 each. Kids under 12 are free!

All proceeds benefit Humboldt CASA’s work to advocate for local foster children. Rain or shine.  Hope to see you there!

  • Are there Hawaiians behind this event? Eh???

  • White trash entertainment. Well, it’s usually either hops or dope on the weekends. Wonderful county. Stuck in a stoner’s/alcoholic’s rut.

  • I am excited to finally attend this year. I have been working Sundays until recently. I have had the opportunity to get to eat the food because my love who is now my wife was sweet enough to bring me fairings to my work. Looking forward to seeing and consuming the culinary creativity cooked up and conceived this year
