City of Eureka Needs Volunteers for ‘Cooper Gulch Work Day’ This Saturday

Saturday, April 21th, Empower Eureka, E.C.O. Eureka and California Conservation Corps (CCC) team is inviting our community to help cleanup Eureka.
This “Cooper Gulch Work Day” event will assign volunteers to remove invasive plant species and replant natives at Cooper Gulch watershed. Overall, the streambank drains into the Pacific Ocean, thus removing invasive species and replanting natives will improve water quality and salmon habitats.
Please join us on April 21th to help restore this watershed. Volunteers will meet at Cooper Gulch near the softball fields at 10:00am. Snacks and refreshments will be at the event! The restoration will take place from 10:00am-2:00pm.
All supplies are provided, although bringing a reusable water bottle, gardening tools and comfortable clothing is recommended. This is a family friendly event, all ages welcome!

Copper gulch my old stopen ground i grew up just a few blocks from thar me and my friends use to go to pats market get are beer and walk down thar and watch them play baseball what nice memorys
Overall, streambanks do not actually drain but border the stream itself. The stream flows into Eureka Slough, which in turn flows into North Humboldt Bay. Neither the stream nor the streambank drain into the ocean. Who writes these press releases?
