Arcata & Mad River Transit System Changing Evening Route Schedules Starting Tomorrow

Arcata, CA – The Arcata and Mad River Transit System (A&MRTS), which manages public transportation in the City of Arcata, announced [Friday] that A&MRTS will implement an adjustment to evening bus route schedules running from 6 to 10 p.m. beginning Monday, April 16.
A&MRTS will be trialing a replacement of the Red Transit Route and the Gold Transit Route for weekday service, from 6 to 10 p.m., with the Orange Special Transit Route.
To accommodate evening weekday transit passengers, the Orange Special Transit Route will serve downtown Arcata, Sunny Brae, Greenview Market, Humboldt State University, Valley West Shopping Center and Alliance Road from 6 to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The Red and Gold Transit Routes will continue to run during their regular daytime schedules Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and weekend transit schedules will continue to operate normally without adjustments.
