Holistic Land Stewardship Tour at The Fool’s Farm in Salmon Creek April 21

All are invited to join the Institute for Sustainable Forestry (ISF) for a tour of the Fool’s Farm in the Salmon Creek watershed with Kyle Keegan and family. This tour will include holistic land stewardship practices focused on: enhancing forest biodiversity, applied permaculture principles, growing and protecting soil from farm scale to forest and grassland systems, small scale mushroom cultivation, groundwater recharge projects, utilizing small diameter fir poles for construction, biochar production, and more.

! Participants should bring sturdy hiking shoes, a lunch, and water. The hike will include some hill climbs. Meet at the Shop Smart parking lot in Redway at 9am to carpool. The tour begins at 10am in Salmon Creek. A sliding scale donation to ISF of 10-25$ is requested.
