A car plowed into Don’s Rent All tonight. [ Crop of a photo by a reader]
A little before 10 p.m., a vehicle drilled into Don’s Rent All on Broadway in Eureka. Fortunately, no one was injured. A tow truck and a flatbed are at the scene. The southbound lanes are impacted at this time so avoid the area if possible.

UPDATE: Speed and slick, wet roads spun a driver off Broadway and through the front of a building, says law enforcement.

Said on other news that 2 cars were traveling at high rates of speed.. yup, I’d say racing.

Walking along that sidewalk, with the speeding traffic so close and the building right on the other side, is pretty unpleasant. Like being a sitting duck. How much more traffic can Broadway absorb without a major rerouting?

That’s a weird angle to hit that building.
This happened like 2 years ago
Happened one morning in the late 90s, too.
TV news reported two cars going north at a high rate of speed, and this one lost control. Maybe a little racing??
Exactly. Stupid to risk people’s life for street cred..
If the photo resolution was higher, we’d be able to see make, model, and license plate number.
Did all 4 tires have sufficient tread depth? Were the 2 drivers racing? Was the driver under the influence?
