[Listen] Guy Fieri admired again for officiating gay weddings in honor of late sister; Humboldt Last Week

Humboldt Last Week is a way to hear highlights from Humboldt’s last week. Also available to download for later listening.

Humboldt’s celebrity chef from Ferndale went viral on the internet once again last week, garnering over 31,000 upvotes on the social site Reddit.

“(Today I learned) Guy Fieri officiates gay wedding ceremonies to honor his late sister,” reads the link to a USA Today article from a few years ago discussing Fieri’s role in 101 weddings in one weekend in honor of his late sibling who was a lesbian.

We were unable to confirm one commenter’s suspicion that Fieri says “welcome to Flavortown” instead of “you may now kiss the bride” to conclude his ceremonies.

I thought this no-talent wannabe poseur was also a queer-a-phobe. He said something to the effect of ‘ don’t ever put me with those people again; they weird me out’, when doing a DDD segment.

When it’s a relative they sometimes change their views. My brother is obese. So now I have empathy for obese people. Though it’s not a diet I would chose or promote. Death or the threat of it in someone close can sometimes make us emulate things we otherwise wouldn’t. It’s that visceral sympathy thing.

I’ve known Guy & his family for years. I went to school with his sister, who was an incredible young woman. I have NEVER known Guy to be a “homophobe”.. he has always been an awesome person & very caring. His parents did a great job raising him & his sister to be wonderful people.

I’ve met him and he was a jerk to my kids. Since then I say screw him. Don’t watch his shows or eat at his places.

I will never blame Cody for this accident…again I say accident. They were all of age, they were all drinking. They knew the consequences of their stupid decision and it cost them their lives!

LOL, what is with people and capital letters, they’re just letters on a screen. if you’re hearing yelling it’s in your own mind, if it’s too loud think quieter…

I have known Guy and his family for many years and I think they are good people. To be in the public spotlight always makes one a target. I am not perfect by any means but I love the north coast with all its beauty as well as its faults people are kind of like that.

Guy is a jackass. I was ran over by him and his people in Las Vegas , in his restaurant. I’ve got the date and time. I was on a cane and walking to a mobility scooter parked near the doors. He’s no good in my book.

Oh dude! I remember you trolling this crap from a few years ago! Haha. That’s crazy, man. I remember he supposedly backed into you with his pretzel cart, right? Did he not at least offer you a free one or a ticket to his show?
