Beacom Construction Helps Renovate Eureka Teen Center

This is a press release from the Boys & Girls Club of the Redwoods:

Boys & Girls Club of the Redwoods is pleased to be working with Beacom Construction to replace the windows of the Eureka Teen Center, as a part of a more extensive building renovation. Volunteers from Beacom Construction were able to install 14 new windows in the front of the building, facing Harris Street. Starting early next week, more windows are scheduled to be installed by Heartwood Design Build.

The Boys & Girls Club of the Redwoods is a youth development program for youth ages 6 to 18. All of our sites offer a safe place, for children to learn, play, and develop citizenship and leadership skills, create healthy lifestyle habits, and increase their academic success. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of our members by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging, and a power of influence.

The Eureka Teen Center is located within the Carson Memorial Community Center, built in 1954, and is considered a historical building in Eureka. The entire building renovations consists of new windows, updated restrooms, more office spaces, a new lounge room, better weight room, and insulation and drywall. All of these updates will allow the Boys & Girls Club of the Redwoods to serve more youth, more effectively for years to come. We are incredibly grateful to Beacom Construction, John McBeth of O & M Industries, John VanderMolen of VaderMolen Construction and so many others for making this renovation possible.
