I love this website and Humboldt Co! No one could make this up the things that go on there. It`s like the Jerry Springer show with violence and a touch of “Deliverance” thrown in.

Not so much in this case, but it is getting ridiculous that people are not safe to walk down the street in broad daylight. Tourism is going to die in Humboldt unless our county sups make a huge change. Seems like every crime that happens, people want to cry ‘mental health issues’. There are many who are just plain criminals, and don’t care about anything except who to make their next victim as soon as they get out of jail. The good people are becoming the prisoners of the criminals because our laws, courts and judges continue to release them hoping something will magically change. Laws, and consequences, need to be tougher and fully enforced; and stop blaming so many crimes on mental health. There are just a whole lot of bad people out there, plain and simple; and they belong in jail/prison.

C’mon how many of these crimes do you really think are “random”?
The last crime map I saw that the EPD put out showed that the areas with most of the crimes are “addict on addict” situations.
Thats why its nice when they tell us when the perp/vic were acquainted. Seems like county wide 90% are known.

The house on the South East corner and the apartments behind it are full of meth heads. They’ve been dealing out of there for years.

I believe it was a drug deal gone bad. You know people want to bitch about and blame the police but they call them when they need help then after getting help or the police saving u people want to be ungrateful. I support our eureka police department at any time. They do the best they can considering we this city is full of drug addicts, thiefs, and people that want to and r up to no good. If u call the police for help then u should cooperate with them. I commend the men and woman that stick their neck out to help us all no matter who u are.

Does anyone know suspect names? Arrests made in connection?
