New alert is posting 3′-5′ for mountains….YES!!!
Finally… We need this badly!
Don’t be a guy, or gal, that gets stuck, or ends up in a crash, because you went somewhere without bringing your tire chains!
You need snow tracks, not chains, to get through 3’ of snow!
More aptly, how about the Sheriff’s Dept Rescue, Snow Cat??? For 3 feet of snow I’d rather not take chances!!! Go BIG, or stay home!!! ;o]]
Carry extra water and clothes and a blanket/sleeping bag in your car.
A few minutes of preparation can make all the difference.
And if youre not used to driving in this weather please give yourself extra time and go slow. Plus dont try driving through big puddles or heavy snow drifts.
Its ok to pull over and wait if you cant see the road or feel scared of the conditions.
