Two Vehicle Accident on 101 Near College of the Redwoods

traffic accidentAt approximately 1:11 p.m., a white GMC and a grey Pathfinder collided south of Hookton Road in the northbound lanes of Hwy 101, according to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page.

One vehicle went down the embankment but at this time it doesn’t appear as if anyone was injured.

That area on the scanner at least is called Beatrice Flats by CHP & HCSO as well!!! Just a quick FYI no disrespect meant!!! Since I seem to be “under management” again even though I don’t recall insulting or otherwise disrespecting anyone!!!! :-/

Is this near Salmon Creek (Elev. 16 Ft)? From Wikipedia: “The original name of Salmon Creek was changed to Beatrice when the first post office opened in 1884 in honor of its first postmaster Beatrice White.[1] The Beatrice post office closed for good in 1955.”

Thank you. It appears, from the USGS Quad map, that Beatrice was located in that area.
