Bair Road is OPEN. Carry chains.

Butler Valley Road – chains required

Fickle Hill Road – chains required

Kneeland Road – chains required

The following road closures are in effect:

Meridian Road @ m.p. 0.75

The following roads are opened with conditions:

Horse Mountain Road (aka Titlow Hill Road) – chains required on all vehicles

Alder Point Road – snow tires okay; 4-wheel drive vehicles okay; carry chains

Shelter Cove Road – snow tires okay; 4-wheel drive vehicles okay; carry chains

Bald Hills Road – chains required

Kneeland Road – snow tires okay; 4-wheel drive vehicles okay; carry chains

Fickle Hill Road – snow tires okay; 4-wheel drive vehicles okay; carry chains

Mattole Road – chains required

  • I saw more stupidity in the snow yesterday than I’ve seen in some time.
    A lot of youthful pride, arrogance, and ignorance…vs. age and experience!

    • Just try to keep your distance from stupidity. It tends to want to ride your bumper just before it tries to pass.

      • There’s a proverb that goes something like this…
        a young man’s glory…is his strength, an old man’s honor…is his grey hair.

  • Kneeland Road dhows both carry chains and chains required. Probably changes somewhere along the road but it would be nice to know where.
