There is snow all the way down to the river at AP at 9 am. Be careful if you have to get out on the roads today.
What do you mean ap? Sorry just curious it was snow/rain for McKinleyville
AP= Alderpoint. Still snowing at 9:35 a.m. and temperature is about 30 degrees, so it is sticking. Can’t see the road but I wouldn’t start out to drive to GV (=Garberville) without 4 wheel drive and/ or chains because the high point of the road, on the shoulder of Pratt Mountain is about 2000′ higher than AP.
I was just up on Dyerville Loop Rd. I had to use four wheel drive. Ap road is covered in slush and very slippery.
Still snowing steadily in Ap at 10:41. Heard that it was Raining in Redway a while ago. Can’t confirm.
Snow west of 101 along the river.
I think I’m going back to bed.
Snow/Rain for McKinleyville
Its heavy snowing 5000 block Greenwood heights road at 930am. At least an inch on the ground!
It’s still snowing here in Swain’s Flat part of Bridgeville at 1,000 ft Had to go out & sweep out my satellite dish so I could get on the net!!! 20 degrees according to Arthur on my back porch!!! (Arthur = Our Thermometer) Little humor there, sadly VERY little!!!
Snowing pretty good in Northern Mendo at 2500’
Snowing in Weitchpec at 180′
Slippery out past Burnt Ranch. Just check out this parking job, at the Burnt Ranch Dump Road. No known injuries.
trying to post photo
Where did you take this photo?
Photo taken where Burnt Ranch Dump Road meets 299, about two miles west of Cedar Flat, one mile east of School House Road.
Don’t believe there were any injuries, but not sure.
Yikes! I hope everyone is okay?
Keep your faucets dripping! Frozen busted water pipes are the worst!!
Stay home if you can today, the snow&hail starts melting a bit then the low temps freeze the top&bottom of the snow, worst driving conditions besides fog, to me at least.
Build a snowperson or some anime character like they did in Tokyo this year and enjoy a family snowball game. If its cold enough where you are try the ice bubbles outside, many videos online.
A great reminder to be so very grateful for shelter, a wood stove and a stack of dry wood.
More snow here at the top of Fickle Hill again today on top of what had not melted off from the last storm. It was really coming down at 12 noon!
It is a good day to be inside next to the wood stove while watching the evil white stuff fall from the sky!
