It sickens me that witnesses watched her assaulted and taken from a house at gunpoint and did not call the police until three days later when she had not been seen or heard from! You watched a kidnapoing at gunpoint by an ex with a warrant for assaulting her in January! You did nothing for this girl! I hope and pray with everything that’s within me that this poor victim is found alive and safe. Domestic violence is serious and it is real! Most women who have been and will be murdered will be at the hands of the man they love or once loved! Don’t be a bystander to a man’s abuse, even if it’s a friend or relative, get involved, report it, call 911, get help.

Again gun ownership is one thing responsible gun ownership. But when you use a weapon to stalk, intimidate harass, threaten, kidnap or kill unarmed people you’re crossing the line. Maybe as a safety feature guns should have a GPS chip embedded in them. The tricky situation with domestic violence is often times the women go back, they believe he will change, but it also is part of PTSD and you get soft to the abuse laid on you. I pray for her family and I hope the residents in Covelo start talking about domestic violence more. Happens a lot out there. Dont allow this terrible attitude continue to infect the community. Tragic. Respect and integrity are sadly long forgotten attributes these days. <3

Doesn’t violence involve a physical force intended to cause physical pain.

My guess is drugs may have been involved thus the delay in calling the sheriff. Others that witnessed the crime may have been scared to speak up. If it was my sister, this guy should beg to be left in prison.
