Fatal Quad Accident on Burr Valley Road

Fatal crash iconThis morning at approximately 11:45 a.m., the California Highway Patrol dispatch received word that a male had been in an accident on a quad out Burr Valley Road. The incident occurred about 7.8 miles west of Hwy 36.

The CHP Traffic Incident Information Page and scanner information indicates that the victim, a male, is deceased. A 4Wheel Drive pickup is requested to respond to the incident to help with recovery of the individual.

Kym I think this was my friend Pollys son They went up to the MTN this morning before the storm hit. She was suppose to get together with me this afternoon, and texted shortly after this accident happened saying her son just died, but didnt say what had happened Super sweet young man

He’s been a good friend of mine for years. We grew up in Scouts together. We even had our Eagle Court of Honor together. I can’t believe this. About this time last year, there was another guy in our age group who died from a rock climbing accident in Joshua Tree. Been some hard times with the alumni from our troop…..so many memories with him & his family.
