How much is the reward ?
The flip phone, once he transfers all of his numbers onto a new one.
Second prize is two scrappy flip phones.
Yes it looks like he has a crapper on it..
Just drive
That’s right. I passed a pest control truck the other day cause he was slowly swerving back in forth in front of me. The driver was holding the wheel at 11:30 and 12:30 with his phone in both hands feverishly texting…. I also spotted a douchebag driving through Eureka with no head lights, in the dark. He had a phone in one hand, at his ear, and the other had a Big Mac. Must have been using his knees to steer thru the heavy traffic. What a jerk.
Yeah, Muddy Black Dodge! I see lots of cars and trucks driving around with no headlights, or dim headlights, but no tail lights. It’s those fancy new vehicles with dashboards that light up without having to turn on the headlamps.
Then there’s the fools with the non-DOT legal HID & LED lights… ugh!
Maybe producers from The Bachelor have it?
Not a crappy phone, those phones have a strong antenna. They pick up signals where new phones won’t. The one in the picture is a Motorola, same one I had as my first. Screw an iPhone. I love Humboldt, stopped in Grants Pass today, !!! OMG. Can’t wait to get home.
You heading through Crescent City?
Most likely, unless they use Greyback Road from O’Brien to Happy Camp and then take Hi 96.
Not till Mon afternoon, my wife is playing a Pickleball tournament in Roseburg OR. with Humboldt Bay Pickleball club.
Beautiful!
Kym you report this shit but you don’t talk about my friend Wade who shot himself the same day the guy on 36 committed suicide.
They didn’t happen on the same day.
That said: I would report this if I could first because Wade was a wonderful man with a great big hug and a generous heart and I admired much about the other man also though I didn’t know him very well.
But, because of the stigma, reporting suicide is very difficult. Law enforcement tries to protect the privacy of those involved, families are grieving and are sometimes ashamed, and hurting those who are already hurting even when I feel it serves the greater good of the community understanding what is happening around them feels wrong.
In the end, I don’t have much beyond rumor so I don’t report suicides often. In 2017 we had 26 suicides in our county. I reported one and that was at the request of the family. https://kymkemp.com/2017/09/08/during-suicide-prevention-month-in-humboldt-a-family-loses-their-father/
thanks Kym..it is really difficult for the families due to the suicide aspect especially…
I appreciate you trying to walk that sensitive line..
Kym, people need to talk about it. It is the secrets of it all that make it stronger. If more people were to talk about it, those suffering in secret would talk more as well. And then they can be helped.
Here’s a thought. Have a backup address/phone book, you know, like the old days, that has all your phone #s and addresses in.
