Alert Neighbor Stops Wanted Felon

This is a press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

GHIDINELLI A wanted felon is in custody after an alert neighbor notified law enforcement of suspicious activity.

On Jan. 31, 2018, at about 11:45 a.m., sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence on the 1700 block of Bird Ave. in McKinleyville for the report of suspicious activity. A neighbor reported to dispatchers that the owner of the residence was not home and suspicious subjects were moving items in/out of the residence.

Upon arrival at the residence, deputies recognized wanted felon Jonathan Raymond Ghidinelli, 27, standing at the door. When contacted, Ghidinelli gave deputies a false name. Deputies were able to verify Ghidinelli’s real identity and took him into custody.

Ghidinelli was arrested on his felony warrant, false impersonation and possession of over an ounce of marijuana.

The public is encouraged to report suspicious or criminal activity observed in your community to the Sheriff’s Office at (707) 445-7251 or the Sheriff’s Office Crime Tip line at (707) 268-2539.

  • That’s pretty ballsy, emptying someone’s house in broad daylight…

  • Honeydew Bridge C.H.U.M.P.

These days are the most important to reporting marihuana growers, dealers, and addicts…

Capturing a felon is good news, reporting marihuana dealers is a badge of honor.

Legal dope can be grown in Central Valley and shouldn’t wreck our community, call them in, film the bust, post the footage….

We need a weed free Triangle, and legal weed allows for this to become reality.

    For you dopers,

Move to the Central Valley because you aren’t wanted, needed, or liked here.

Go find somewhere else to make your slum, this isn’t it.

Report any and all felons, dope growers, and owners of free range pitbulls….

    We can take it back.

    • What we need is an eradication force that rolls through entire neighborhoods. Parcel by parcel, greenhouse by greenhouse confiscating equipment and cash while chipping and destroying the profit-plants. The filth from the hills has spread to the floor of the valleys and towns. It is burning us down. Now is the time to push it back and then mop up. We can do this together!

      • but this guy is a 4th generation local and not a grower. you might want to think this topic through.

      • Wow youre so confused about the situation its scary. Pull your head out of the sand and grab a clue!
Or maybe you work for someone selling the other substances here and feel that cannabis is encroaching on your biz?, lets see, is it meth, crank, coke,, heroin, ketamine, xanax, gbh, rhohibbinol, bath salts, ecstasy, to name a few? Available at every high school in the county!

If you think cannabis is worse problem than those, youre nuts.
And if you hate growers then please contact your local volunteer fire dept and request they not respond if your house is on fire or you have a car accident or major medical emergency. Cuz if you hate growers then you wouldn’t want to use services paid for and run by (in some cases) growers, right? Oh and turn off that local radio & no community events either!
So hypocritical to utilize all the good things people have done for many communities in humboldt while inciting violence against the very hands supporting you.

And p.s. chumpy, the central valley that I assume you eat food from is too toxic for cannabis growing, both the land and the water, even in wells 800′ down, are polluted. Unlike a lot of food, there are strict guidelines regarding chemical residue on cannabis.
Tho I do think the both of ya ought to just move there cuz the good growers are staying and if you want to help then focus your angst on the industrial a-holes ruining things for smaller farmers. Guess what the average farm size in CA is 300 acres. That’s what we definitely dont need here.

        • Polluted water eh? I think I felt a moments joy in that statement, tragic as it is. I hope Humboldt survives despite the complete lack of forward motion. Still no stores in Redcrest Weott Briceland or The Cove.. though the worlds best cannabis surround em all.. Colorado is where the canna tourist is going……..

          • hop on the bus Gus

No store in Weott, says you; Better check your facts, again…There’s a fine country store in Weott called Rivers Edge next to the post office.

        • Bluehaired Hillbetty

You need to grab a clue. Pot was/is just a vehicle to bring in all the other crap. I remember the 80’s. Trade weed for coke, coke was expensive bring in the cheap
meth. Everyone was stayin out late and havin fun scewin each other parting down. Mix the meth with heroin get everyone addicted. Here is where we are folks. Too bad so sad.

i’m drug free now livin the straight life. Praising God I survived. Hopefully to educate the next generation they are worth more than the dope dealers are trying to convince them they are.

      • CHUMP – You are spending too much time in that squirrelly mind of your’s. It’s time to turn off the computer, quit reading whatever you are reading and get out in the community a bit. Breathe some fresh air, drink some clean water and chill.

      • Relax. Breathe in, breathe out.
        Everything will be fine.

      • Talking like a Nazi there buddy, simple mind!

    • Chumps dream world is just him left in Humboldt County. The surrounding area in 250 square miles from chumps bunker will look like a nuclear waste land. Clear of all humans, dwellings and plants. Patrolled by neo-nazi military who have it on dawn to dusk martial law. Nothing will go unseen. Ah yes….dream on chump, and who knows….your dream could be a reality! 🙈🙉🙊

  • But not arrested for being a suspicious subject moving items in/out of a house? Alert neighbor or overzealous neighbor which is it?

  • I feel sorry for his dad. He has tried hard to get his son on the right path. There is still hope. Really sad for his family. The family is the best you can have.

  • John has been a habitual thief and a loser since his early teens. When did he get paroled? Yes dad has tried. At this point I wouldn’t hold out much hope that John will ever grow up and become responsible.

  • To honeydew bridge c.h.u.m.p. ANY “free range” dog can be a problem not just pitbulls so try saying dogs instead of stigmatizing that breed

  • False impersonation?…..HMMMMMMM. Bet he also tells other peoples jokes… that in itself is felonious…

  • Always listening to bs

    Chump for president!

  • Nobody Likes Chump poor guy

    Poor Chump

  • Cannabis is The backbone of Humboldt be carefull what u wish for.
