Academy of the Redwoods Holding Information Night January 24; Priority Application Deadline is January 31

This is a press release from Academy of the Redwoods:

The Academy of the Redwoods (AR), the North Coast’s only early college high school, is having an information night on Wednesday January 24th, from 6 to 7pm in the College of the Redwoods theatre. Prospective students and their parents/guardians are invited to attend the information night to learn more about this exciting educational opportunity and consider submitting an application by the initial priority application deadline of January 31st. AR provides an opportunity for Humboldt County students to earn up to two years of tuition-free college credit as part of a cohesive public high school academic program. Founded on the values of respect, responsibility, and choice, AR is able to provide this unique educational opportunity due to an ongoing relationship between the Fortuna Union High School District and College of the Redwoods. Located on the beautiful College of the Redwoods campus, AR uses the power of place and a small, supportive learning community to support students in reaching their full potential. Students create individualized academic learning plans that may lead to the completion of two years of transferable college credit or provide entry into a career tech pathway.
