[UPDATE] Twenty-Two Pounds of Marijuana Found During Traffic Stop
The deputy then discovered that both of the occupants were driving on suspended drivers licenses, Karges explained. One, David Lee Conoboy, age 47 37, had four misdemeanor warrants for his arrest.
“During a search, 22 pounds and 12 oz. of dried marijuana was discovered,” Karges said. “Conoboy was arrested on his warrants and arrested on possessing more than an ounce [of marijuana].”
“The other person was cited for driving with a suspended license and released,” Karges noted.

So they were both driving on suspended licenses?
How loving
“Was that your leg?”
“What, this?”
“Yeah.”
“Yeah that was me, sorry.”
My God people are dumb.
JUST STONED!
“just” stoned couldn’t explain it.
Right?
They were subconsciously asking to be apprehended. Expired CDLs, broken tail light, outstanding warrants – these are symptoms of a cry for help. Here’s hoping they get it.
You’ve got a really funny wit! And I agree.
Stoned and stupid is no way to go through life!
And yet…
I love the way that they always give the cops a reason to stop them, tail lights out, broken windshield, missing license plates etc. Guess it shows how smart they really are.
I’m telling you Humboldt needs to get a better class of criminal there getting boring to read about.
So 2 people were driving one car ? Maybe the officer was on something as well.
One drive’s stick and the other uses the shifter.
A truly amazing story! The news items from Arcata, recently, indicate that human intelligence has failed to evolve for yet another generation…
The shocking stupidity, the vacuous negligence, these people didn’t even TRY to avoid arrest!
Four outstanding warrants, a suspended license, a burned out bulb…
Hell, two burned out bulbs! And what else? Oh. 22 pounds of weed. Well.
No surprise there…
WHAT do we have to do, to keep these folks from wasting the time of the LEO’s?
Let’s see, how about special dispensation to drive without a license, while transporting, heck, all the weed you want, and, since you are such a good citizen, a brand new car! AND, discretionary freedom from obeying ANY law you don’t like!! THEN could you stay off the radar?
It has been a very slow learning curve for some folks, eh?
If you are transporting drugs, have a valid license, current tags & make sure your lights all work, m’kay?
this guy is part of the old class of morons. the fields landing roommate stabber is the new class, same family.
Wait. They are not defective, they are just on drugs…
How does the officer know that 364+ college kids didn’t flee the car?
LIVEPD, come to Dumboldt and film your television show, the nation needs to see and get a good laugh at these criminal masterminds.
Maybe you should get outside more [edit]?
Does anyone know what ‘!!!’ is talking about? Maybe you should get outside [explicit word] ??? ‘!!!’, please clarify your statement it makes absolutely no sense…
It has been nearly four decades since I learned the “basics” in transportation.
1 – Everything outside the car works and looks clean.
2 – All the legal papers for the car and driver, who should be as clean cut as possible.
3 – Nothing that can be seen or smelled from the outside, looking in.
4 – Packaging is everything. It can’t look like anything Cops would be interested in.
5 – Drive like a Church Mom, turn signals, speed limit, all the good manners. Pretend the cops are riding with you.
6 – “Act Normal”
This last one was the most difficult – there was (and is) very little about me that might be considered “normal” on close inspection.
Now, if I could learn it and remember it for all these years, it seems to me it must be fairly common knowledge and not that hard to forget. If those photographs are of the load they carried I can tell you they haven’t learned a thing!
What is “normal” in 2018?
“normal” is a setting on a washing machine.
Daddy always said never commit a misdemeanor while committing a felony😉 aside those pounds look like someone’s throwaways.
This guy was arrested on several different charges Dec. 27 and Jan. 5. Charges ranged from criminal trespass to assault to attempted murder. How was this guy out on the streets so soon?? Good time for our courts to prove they are tired of pos like this repeating their crimes. keep him jail this time!
Anyone thinking of growing today? Anyone thinking of cracking a shot at your green thumb? FORGET IT!
Use this mug shot as a lesson. See that expression? That’s what it feels like to grow, anything beyond personal use, today! Go back to school, learn a trade & maybe get a job as a scientist, at one of these New legal establishments!
Most of that is leaf shake!
Gives new meaning to the term Shakedown.
Don’t tell me McKinleyville ain’t got no heart…
I’m betting it’s stolen in the first place.
That has to be the most depressing, sad, and useless 22 lbs of “processed marijuana” ever seized in Humboldt. This sounds like a Sheriff press release out of Arkansas, they should throw in a street value estimate of $88,000 to seal the deal. Smh
Second occupant, conveniently not named, was the driver and released on site with only a traffic ticket. He had narced and it was a setup.
Busted with shake to add to the stupidness of the sad tale of woes!
Local allways knows what’s up. Nothing like an observer.
Legal weed!!! Yes!!! Here come the dipshits outta the woodwork! That is definitely weed from a dumpster. Cause AAA is so cheap a guy would need to throw those away to make room for the hundreds of fresh ones they can’t sell.
Huh doesn’t sound like you be workin for a legal company. Good luck on your Social Security that you all think won’t be there later, but we’re cool with real tax jobs and will have a retirement. Huh weird factor homeless population to increase by 3 fold in next ten years in specifically Humbolt. Get a fn job suckers before its to late.
1 brown pound and the rest shake?
They should try to locate their bho operation and make some charges stick.
