Pickup Taking a Long Bath in the Eel

Pickup in the Eel

Just south of the bridge that crosses the South Fork of the Eel River near the Redway Transfer Station, a pickup is taking a bath. Shhh, don’t disturb it as it might be sleeping–it hasn’t moved in awhile.

There are many toxic liquids, etc. that should never be in our rivers, and ocean…brake fluid…radiator fluid, to mention two.

TELL THAT TO THE GROWERS THAT ARE PUTTING TONS OF TOXINS INTO THE RIVER. OIL FLOATS, ITS NOT A REAL FISH KILLER. BUT THE HERBISIDES,PESTISIDES AN HI POWERED FERITLIZERS THAT MIX WITH WATER READILY, SURE RAISE HELL WITH THE FISH. AN ANY OTHER CREATURE THAT MAY DWELL IN THE CONFINES OF THE RIVER.

A few rules of 4 wheelin’. Ya can’t go everywhere, always go with multiple vehicles and carry a tow strap & shovel…..(and some beer). Years ago, pulled a guy out of Yager Cr. at the end of Fisher Rd. From out of town driving a brand new 4×4, up past the doors deep; and didn’t have a clue about crossing water.

LOL Kym Keep me posted, if this bath works my truck is due for a bath also!!! But seriously fluids from the truck will pollute our already damaged eco-system on the river, thanks to the pot farmers, sewage etc

Look at the tire tracks. There’s plain evidence that the driver of the truck was foolin’
around tryin’ to do doughhuts on the river bar…oooops! His IQ may even lower that the
man with little hands!

I don’t think Growers would be just abandoning their trucks but let’s not blame anything on the a legal immigrants that work for all Vineyards as they spray and pollute us more than anyone growing weed uneducated

*you’re & I have no doubt whatsoever about the owner’s insurance company “loving” this!!! Actually they likely will “Love it”, as an excuse to raise his rates, which judging by this might not be a bad idea!!!

Recently noticed State Parks have a new sign at river access roads saying not to drive in river. The owner could be fined by F&W for some violation I’m sure.

Most ‘new’ trucks (it looks like a new truck) don’t leak.
IMHO: Driver likely found out that the engine electronics aren’t really waterproof.
I wouldn’t abandon a new truck like that though… $50K sitting there.
Wonder (too) if it’s stolen.

Reread your comment before posting it. Then you’ll realize how dumb you are. The river is hurting for many reasons. This truck does not help. And the rearends are for sure leaking as they have breather tubes. Some people are so DUMB!! Your comments confirm that!
