Last night at approximately 10 p.m., a pickup rolled over north of Rio Dell on Hwy 101 in the southbound lanes. Though the initial report over the scanner said the occupant had major injuries, the CHP later changed that to minor injuries.

Both southbound lanes were blocked and traffic backed up to the Van Duzen Bridge. By approximately 11 p.m. one lane was open and by 11:45 p.m. both lanes were open.

You must love texting while driving to screw up that bad. He’ll blame it on a deer crossing in front of him to get off the hook.

Watch out for the green moss build up alongside the roadside, and gaurdrails. You see that you know its on the road too, no matter how many cars have driven over it.Very slick.Do not brake on a bridge, coast over it , the air underneath will freeze the moisture to the top of the pavement of bridge, causing a black ice effect. Also dont be in a hurry to be “first”or ahead of others. You just might end up being Last-or worse.Keep your tires properly inflated and in good repair, take care of them and they will take care of you.
