[Update] Shelter Cove Raid by Federal Officers

According to residents of Shelter Cove in Southern Humboldt, federal law enforcement agents are at a piece of property on the corner of Redwood Road and Shelter Cove Road. “Multiple vehicles and officers at both houses,” according to one reader. He said, “There are two houses next door to each other…both have uniform officers taking black trash bags out.”

Reportedly the officers stayed overnight at an inn there and then went to this property today. The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed they are not involved.

We have not been able to confirm which federal agency is in charge. We are currently reaching out to the Bureau of Land Management in an attempt to learn more.

UPDATE 11:17 a.m.: The BLM said this is not their officers.

Update 1:20 p.m.: Lt. Ken Swithenbank of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office spoke with the Pittsburg branch of the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and they have confirmed that they have an operation in the area.

I for one am glad the Feds are out shaking things up. If its indeed the Feds. Local cops have their own agenda it seems more and more these days. Equal enforcement!?

That handy dandy air strip might have something to do with the feds being involved.

I think the state agency is fish and game, the federal fish and wildlife. Tho I may be wrong.
This was most likely federal, they’re cashing in on the doj regs that allow them to search and seize whatever they want even if it violates state law. Its a huge money maker for the agency and the agents who pocket cash.
To whomever gets busted, if you have vehicles or heavy equipment seized they will often sell it back to you rather than at an auction.
A friends neighbor was busted a few years back &the cops did their 2 mile field warrant thing and came to my buddy’s place, saw a bunch of little clones and seized his excavator. He wasnt there.
He met with the feds with his lawyer and they offered to sell it back to him for 30,000 & no charges. So he did it and never heard from them again.

I had business dealings with those two. One of them stiffed me for about $60,000 a few seasons back and the other was a prick of epic proportions.

If working on a licensed grow in the medical cannabis program equates being part of the problem, then yes, I’m guilty as charged.

That is not actually possible under current law. If it was a “legal” operation, I would love to hear how you “sold” $60k worth of cannabis to another “legal” entity that stiffed you. Details please😁?

Being involved in marijuana doesn’t make you part of the problem. Get over the stigma. There is no shame in taking part in the only game in town. Why don’t you take your Prius down to San Francisco where you will fit in better? I never like your comments.

Still no one knows which agency was raiding today?

Were there any badges?
[So of course the “Treasure of the Sierra Madre” exchange goes through my mind… “Badges? We ain’t got no badges. We don’t need no badges. I don’t have to show you any stinking badges!”

Wasn’t there a robbery not long ago in which the robbers impersonated law enforcement officers?

Feds busting The Marijuana Caliphate is always a good thing for the community.

Not enough of it, but any fed busts on dopers is ALWAYS welcome.

Merry Christmas, dopers….

Marijuana users and ISIS are one and the same.

Nice work, bust every druggie around The Triangle!

Marijuana addicts strive for those things, everyone knows this to be the truth.

Most marijuana growers and addicts wear long beards, drive toyota trucks, traffic illegal weapons, and long for their own nation….

marijuana addicts and ISIS are one.

I don’t know what rock you climbed out from under but classifying marijuana users as ISIS terrorists is plain ignorant. By the way- which rock was it so I don’t get contaminated.

Can you create a troll hole? A section where ranters can go who are consistently persistently off topic. Having to sieve for the interesting is often worthwhile but time consuming.

You’d think local agencies would want to confiscate some cash first, before Feds take it away.

But I’ll bet Feds don’t cite and release within 11 hours

The best part of all the older movies, was always the battle of jurisdiction between local and Federal agencies. Now, because of the Loretta Lynch Strong Cities Network, they don’t even have to communicate to their local partners what they’re up to? That’s not a very calming feeling, what with the fake officials from all agencies (even FEMA), taking advantage of residents.
Partners let Partners know what’s happening. Partners don’t let partners run over them. Has the term partner been changed into a new meaning? What would have happened had the intruders gone to the wrong house and a local off duty deputy tried to keep them at bay while on the phone with the captain to check for verification.
The new american has info about the strong cities network, in case any reader might wish to know what it is. Knowing the pros and cons to any agreement is always appreciated by most. https://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/item/21816-strong-cities-network-trilateral-cfr-rothschild-connections
It might help to have some new etiquette lines drawn.

This house was raided a few years ago by the feds and their other property near China Creek that had generators leaking fuel near the creek. I’m sure they will be up and running again soon leaking fuel and poisoning the environment. That’s all they know how to do….. Sad!!
