Redwood Coast Village is celebrating its first full year of operation with a fun and informational get together at the lovely new Hospice of Humboldt facility in Eureka. Redwood Coast Village is a virtual village that brings together members and volunteers to help Humboldt’s over-fifties stay active, independent, and living in their own homes. Rides, help with household tasks and home technology, and social activities are just a phone call away. The organization is active in Eureka, Arcata, McKinleyville, Trinidad, Blue Lake, and Big Lagoon, with plans to expand south to the Eel River Valley in 2018.

Redwood Coast Village is an independent Humboldt County nonprofit. For more information, go to www.redwoodcoastvillage.org, find us on Facebook, or call 707-442-3763 x217.

  • Care of senior citizens can and will become a focus of social and economic activity in Humboldt. It’s time for folks here to diversify their interests past the cannabis thing! Find a way to help, donate to causes supporting seniors, the fastest growing group of all, and help develop services for and explore the needs of seniors everywhere!

Remember, in 20-30 years, YOU will be a senior too!
