OKJA: This Little Cattle Dog Is Looking For A Good Home
A concerned reader emailed us about this dog that’s listed on Redwood Pals Rescue. If you know someone who can help get him into a forever home, please pass this along to them.
Okja was abandoned in Blue Lake and was lucky enough to land with one of our wonderful fosters. He is about 8 months old, neutered, vaccinated and housebroken and only about 30 -35 pounds. His breed mix is anyone’s guess, though some sort of cattle dog is in there for sure. His foster home has an older dog and two cats, and they all get along just fine. Okja LOVES to snuggle, sit in laps, and cuddle in bed. He does very well in the car, on walks both on and off leash, and he has mastered the ‘sit’ command. He really wants to please and just give everyone his love. He is still a youngster however and is still working on other basic commands. His fosters say he would love a home with other pets or as an only pet, but he would do best with a family who is home much of the time and can give him lots of love and plenty of opportunities to run, play, and be social. Let us know if you would like to meet this sweet little fellow! He is ready for a forever home!
