[Update: One Way Controlled Traffic] Hwy 96 Closed; No Estimated Time of Reopening
According to Caltrans,
Route 96 has been fully closed in Humboldt County near the Siskiyou County line due to what was reported as a large slide. The estimated time of opening is currently unknown.
UPDATE 5:20 p.m.: According to Caltrans,
After closing earlier today due to a large slide, Route 96 in Humboldt County near the Siskiyou County line is now open to one-way traffic control. Crews estimate the road will be fully open soon.
We’ll be monitoring the situation at the slide location and will continue to update traffic conditions with traveler safety in mind. We’d like to thank our hard-working crews and allied agencies for working quickly to get traffic moving again.

Is this before Somes Bar? I can’t find any info regarding the slide on the Caltrans website. Can one still make it to Orleans from Weitchpec/Hoopa?
