Cal Fire Declares Fire Season Over for Del Norte, Humboldt, and Western Trinity

Press release from Cal Fire:

cal fireDecreased flammability of forest fuels and grasses due to recent rains and cooler temperatures across the region has lowered the threat of wildfires. Therefore the Declaration of Fire Season that became effective 12:00 am on May 1, 2017 is being terminated effective 12:00 am on Wednesday, November 15, 2017.

Those areas where the Declaration of Fire Season is terminated by this document are: ALL STATE RESPONSIBILITY AREA LANDS WITHIN THE COUNTIES OF DEL NORTE, HUMBOLDT, AND WESTERN TRINITY

The Declaration implemented the Fire Prevention requirements of Public Resources Code sections 4292 to 4296.
